On Tuesday 19th January, Members and Friends of Bolsover Amateur Radio Society attended a guided tour of Sherwood Observatory in Sutton In Ashfield . The evening started with an amazing talk covering all aspects of astronomy, especially our galaxy. We also toured the dome, saw the main telescope and was given a talk on how all the equipment worked. (see our gallery for pics)

Many thanks to the members of Mansfield & Sutton Astronomical Society for making us all welcome at the observatory. A great night was had by all.
